This text, by a brother of the Golden Cross—at least, that's how he defines himself—leads us to the material with which we must work and confirms the words of Bernard of Treviso about our one and only material, from which everything is made. If we work with another, it is in vain, and all we do is waste time. Through a review of the animal, vegetable, and mineral kingdoms, it leads us to the understanding of what we really need to do to choose our Subject. Because, if we follow non-metallic paths, we fall into a grave error, which the author condemns in no uncertain terms: “I am amazed by those who wish to be considered great adepts, and yet seek the substance of the stone in women's menstrual blood, seminal fluid, ova, hair, urine, and similar things, and are not ashamed to fill so many volumes with their vain and useless recipes.”
A treatise that deserves a prominent place in our library.

materia con la que debemos trabajar y confirma las palabras de Bernardo El
Trevisano sobre nuestra única materia con la que se hace todo. Si trabajamos
con otra es en balde, y lo único que se hace es perder el tiempo. A través de
una revisión de los reinos, animal, vegetal y mineral, nos conduce a la
comprensión de lo que realmente hay que hacer para escoger nuestro Sujeto. Porque,
si seguimos las vías no metálicas, caemos en un grave error que ya nos
sentencia el autor de manera lapidaria: “me asombran aquellos que desean ser
considerados grandes adeptos, y sin embargo buscan la sustancia de la piedra en
la menstruación femenina, el líquido seminal, los óvulos, el vello, la orina y
cosas similares, y no se avergüenzan de llenar tantos volúmenes con sus vanas e
inútiles recetas” .
Un tratado
que merece un lugar destacado en nuestra biblioteca.

De nuevo un texto del año 1652 que nos orienta a los metales como la mena donde localizar nuestra materia prima para elaborar la Piedra Filosofal, pero da un jugoso detalle al entendido sobre esta materia que me abstengo de mencionar más. En forma de conversación, a través de un diálogo entre dos alquimistas, se esclarece el asunto de la operatoria, fundamentado en los principios naturales. Los engaños de los artistas para ocultar el secreto se revela como una tímida luz solar en medio de un cielo cubierto de nubes. Así vemos como lo invisible tiene inferencia en lo visible dando lugar a la generación que tanto deseamos.

correspondencia del alquimista Albert Poisson, prácticamente desconocida,
encontramos referencias al fluido que nos rodea y que el alquimista, una vez
alcanza en su interior el conocimiento para lograrlo, puede ser capaz de
proyectar a la sustancia con la que trabaja. No omitiré mi opinión acerca de
tal pensamiento que roza lo metafísico con lo físico, le dejo al lector dicha
tarea. Lo importante es que nos habla de
algo fundamental para fabricar la Piedra: la animación de nuestra sustancia
metálica mediante el arqueo que la vuelve totalmente distinta de cómo era, algo
que vimos que también enseña Ramon Lull. Este punto es crucial y lo aborda de inmejorable
manera Poisson.

This anonymous treatise is the first copy of manuscript 3027 in the Arsenal Library. It is titled "On the Matter of the Philosopher's Stone in General." Mike Dickman translated it from French, and I am translating it into Spanish for the first time. The first time I read this text, it made me reflect at length on matter, which until then I suspected was common antimony, but I was wrong. As Fulcanelli and Basil Valentine rightly declared, the philosopher's stone is based on another matter, which is clearly indicated in this marvelous text. Because, you should know, the great difficulty in the Great Work lies in finding the right material, without which, as Bernardo Trevisano says, all effort is in vain, and one gets lost in the labyrinth of the laboratory with useless operations. The best example of this can be found in Trevisano's life and in my own, where I too wandered through dews, pyrites, parergons, oak ash, and a very long etcetera, but none brought me closer to the object of my desires, and I only wasted time and hope...

No puedo decir que este libro sea de fácil lectura. Sin embargo, nos amplia una parte de la operatoria cuando tenemos nuestra materia lista para su evolución, que es el asunto de los vasos y el horno. Algo que Trevisano nos enseña con su alegoría de la Fuente, pero que en este libro lo encontramos más detallado y explícito. He ahí la real explicación acerca del roble.
